ImpactMag.net is an exciting programme of study support summer schools for over 120 primary schools across the West Midlands. The activities are targeted towards primary school children in greatest need and will encourage their creative and artistic skills and abilities.
10 schools from Dudley and Walsall participated in the 2002 ImpactMag.net and 50 Schools are participating in the 2003 project. Over the five days they will be collecting images of their creations and sending them in to the web site. The site is an online gallery of the ideas, work and installation that goes on during the summer school and is made possible by a set or equipment given to each school. The kits have been put together by Trilby Multimedia as part of their Digital Schools initiative. Each case contains a camera, charger, tripod and 2 memory cards. As most of the activities take place away from computers, often in the playground or hall, Trilby provides a postal service to collect the memory cards which are then processed back at the Edgbaston studios. |
