OffSiteMag.net has been created to assist in the creation and tracking of off site educational visits. With a couple or recently high profile cases where LEAs have been found neglegant in the areas of risk assessment and activity planning this issue has been highlighted as one where LEAs can improve.
OffSiteMag.net provides a system to not only plan and record activities, but to ensure that the appropriate checks are met and that the people who need to provide approval can do so.
The site is currently being piloted in Dudley LEA alongside a successful paper based system, the results of which will be published in September 2003.
